Aran worked as a subcontractor to CPS Building Services to deliver insulation improvements at Whittlesey Library & Learning Centre, helping to improve the thermal performance of the building through upgrades to both the loft and cavity walls.
Loft Insulation
As part of the works, Aran installed 100m² of rolled loft insulation to a depth of 400mm. Improving loft insulation helps to reduce heat loss through the roof and provides an important part of improving the overall thermal efficiency of a building.
Cavity Wall Insulation
Aran also installed 215m² of Thermabead Carbon Saver cavity wall insulation at the library. Thermabead is designed to improve the thermal performance of suitable cavity walls by reducing heat loss through the building fabric, helping to create a more energy-efficient internal environment.
