Shepreth Village Hall, Cambridgeshire
Improving energy efficiency in a valued community building
Aran supported the refurbishment of Shepreth Village Hall, helping improve the thermal performance and energy efficiency of this much-loved community facility. The project formed part of a wider energy retrofit designed to reduce energy consumption, running costs and carbon emissions while creating a more comfortable environment for users.
Working as a subcontractor to Strata Insulated Renders Ltd, Aran carried out condition surveys of the loft and cavity wall areas before installing:
- 92m² of Thermabead Carbon Saver cavity wall insulation
- 90m² of suspended ceiling insulation, using 200mm encapsulated insulation in fire-retardant bags
- 34m² of loft insulation, using 300mm rolled insulation
