An Introduction to the Norfolk Warm Homes Grant Scheme

Norfolk Warm Homes is a government funded scheme, backed by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), that helps households improve their energy efficiency at no cost.

Eligible residents can benefit from fully funded measures such as cavity wall and loft insulation, solar panels and heat pumps. This helps to make homes warmer in winter, cooler in summer and far more affordable to run. Once a household’s eligibility is confirmed, Aran will then step in to carry out a home retrofit assessment to identify the best improvements for each home.

Aran’s team of installers will also complete the upgrades to the highest standards. With over 21 years of expertise in retrofit and insulation, Aran is committed to enhancing homes across Norfolk, making them warmer and more affordable to run, while driving the region’s progress towards net zero.

What is Cavity Wall Insulation?

One of the most effective measures available through Norfolk Warm Homes is cavity wall insulation. Many homes built after the 1920s have an inner and outer wall with a gap (or cavity) between them. Without insulation, valuable heat escapes through this gap, making your home harder and more expensive to heat. Cavity wall insulation fills that gap with specialist insulating material, creating a barrier that prevents heat loss. The result is a home that stays warmer for longer, with less reliance on heating and reduced energy bills.
