Helping Homes Across Cambridge and Peterborough Stay Warmer

Aran is very pleased to have been appointed an official contractor for Action On Energy Cambridgeshire, a local Council initiative dedicated to helping residents access advice and grant funding to make their homes warmer, greener and more energy efficient.

The partnership allows us to work directly with homeowners across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, providing expert guidance, professional installations and support in securing energy efficiency grants. The initiative really helps households across the region cut their energy bills, reduce their carbon footprint and enjoy more comfortable homes all year round.

About Action On Energy Cambridgeshire

Action On Energy Cambridgeshire is a local programme supported by Cambridgeshire’s district councils and Peterborough City Council. It aims to help residents understand and access the wide range of energy efficiency grants available to them, such as the ECO4, Local Grant and Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Action on Energy connects residents with approved contractors who are experienced, trustworthy, and committed to delivering high-quality work and we’re delighted that Aran has been selected as one of just five official partners.

You can find us listed on their website at the link below.

What Aran Can Offer

At Aran, we specialise in helping homeowners improve energy efficiency through low carbon and renewable solutions such as solar PV, loft and cavity wall insulation, air source heat pumps (ASHP’s) and High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters (HHRESH).

Here’s how we can help residents across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough:

  • Solar PV Installations: Harness clean, renewable energy from the sun and generate your own electricity. Solar panels can dramatically reduce reliance on the grid, lower your bills and help your home go greener.
  • Loft Insulation: Did you know that a poorly insulated loft can lose up to 25% of your home’s heat? Our loft insulation services help lock in warmth and keep your property energy-efficient all year-round.
  • Cavity Wall Insulation: Improve comfort and cut heat loss through your walls with high-quality insulation materials installed by our expert team.
  • Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP’s):  Efficiently extract heat from the air to warm your home and hot water, even in cold weather. A low-carbon alternative that can help reduce energy bills and reliance on fossil fuels.
  • High Heat Retention Electric Storage Heaters (HHRESH):  These are modern, smart-controlled heaters that store cheap off-peak electricity and release it throughout the day.
  • Grant Guidance and Support: As an appointed contractor, we’ll help you navigate available funding options and make the most of any grants you’re eligible for.

Why Energy Efficiency Matters

With rising energy costs and growing environmental awareness, improving home energy efficiency is one of the smartest investments you can make.
By combining insulation and renewable technologies like Solar PV and air source heat pumps, households can achieve:

✅ Improved warmth and comfort
✅ Lower Energy Bills
✅ Reduced carbon emissions
✅ Increased property value

Aran’s partnership with Action On Energy Cambridgeshire represents a shared commitment to creating a more sustainable future for local communities. By helping residents access government-backed funding we’re enabling more households to benefit from energy-saving technologies and insulation upgrades. At Aran, we’ve always believed in practical and community-focused sustainability that deliver real results to improve homes and lives across the East of England.
